For more than a decade, Keri Jones has been helping homeowners and businesses across Devon and Cornwall rediscover the joy of their gardens. What began as a one-woman mission to bring care, colour and calm to outdoor spaces has grown into Roots Shoots & Boots — a trusted name in garden maintenance and landscape design, now expanding through a new franchise network.
Keri’s love of the outdoors started young. Growing up surrounded by the wild beauty of the South West, she learned early on that the fastest way to a quiet mind was time outdoors in nature — a principle that remains at the heart of every project the RSB team delivers today. From the very first garden she maintained to the hundreds transformed since, her approach has always been simple: work with nature, not against it.
As the business grew, so did her vision. Keri recognised that many local gardeners and landscapers shared her passion but lacked the support to build a thriving, professional business. That’s when the idea for the Roots Shoots & Boots Franchise was born — a way to combine her expertise, brand standards and mentorship with opportunities for others to grow their own success.
Under Keri’s leadership, every RSB gardener works to the Green Standard Pledge (my words not Keri’s we have NOT discussed this RSB / franchise story pillar): , water-wise plant care, pesticide-last policies, and soil-first thinking.
It’s a promise to make our own contribution to protecting biodiversity while creating gardens that are beautiful, practical, and sustainable.
